My Absence from YouTube/Blogs

I know I have been gone from Facebook, my YouTube channels and my blogs for a while now. I wanted to let you all know what is going on and why. But first I want to say I will be back I'm just not sure when. I want to get back to posting like before eventually.

This last year, starting with the month of November 2017 has been by far the hardest of my life. While there have been some fantastically wonderful things happen (like my first grandson being born) there have been some very hard things happen also.

The deaths of several people close to me has hit me harder than I could have ever imagined. I have also watched people I care about suffer from mental/emotional issues and I have to say the feeling of helplessness that you are left with watching that is indescribable.

There have also been some financial worries in my life that have caused me more than a few sleepless nights.

I know I have been on the brink of depression for most of the last year and many days have been a battle just to get up and do what needs to be done.

I'm not telling you all of this for sympathy or anything else other than to let you all know what has been going on and why there have been so few videos.

I actually have several videos filmed or partly filmed (some from back in August) that I just haven't had the energy to finish. For whatever reason the idea of starting the editing just seems so hard right now.

I will make it up to all of you and the porch series will continue.

I am starting to feel better about life and more like myself the last few weeks. I will get back on track. I want to thank all of you that have stuck around while I have been absent.

  1. We love you. I also suffer from depression. It's hard to move your feet to even do anything. I can relate. So we'll be patient and wait until you are ready. We love you and what you do. Take care of you -- we don't want to lose you. Come back when YOU are ready.

  3. take care of your self first - depression is a very hard disease - I am afflicted and there were/are many days just getting out of bed took a miracle. Be as good to yourself as possible and do what is best for you - we will be here when you are back

  4. Like the others have stated and I am sure many more have thought...take care of yourself FIRST. You are important and we will all be here when you feel up to getting back. Things may look a bit gloomy now but the Sun will shine again for you. You have been a shining light and an inspiration for many of us. Take care of yourself and we love you.

  7. Thank you for posting again. Have been concerned. Someone told me once "life is too much with us" and told me to read Psalm 46:1. I did and do still (over and over). You will get better. Will keep you in my prayers😊

  11. Just found you recently and you've been my constant companion when I have hours of downtime at work on the midshift. I have one of those jobs where you just stay awake and wait for something to happen. I'm just starting out and through you, I've learned out to electrify my house, put food on the table and many other wonderful things. I'm sorry to hear you've been having a bit of a struggle - just remember that are so many people who love you and will wait for your return. Enjoy that grandbaby, heal and get well. When you come back, start out small - it'll be like little diamonds to us.
